Update 29 September It is with relief and some crossed fingers and toes that we bring you the term 4 programme. As you will be aware we cancelled last term’s classes as we went into lockdown. Since we moved down alert levels our building contractors have been working hard to make up for lost time. This has been extremely challenging due to delays in the supply of key materials and knock- on delays to subcontractors, inspectors etc. However, progress is being made! Whilst building works will continue through to the end of the year they are confident we will have our new toilet area up and running in time for the start of next term. The good news about this is that even if we find ourselves at Level 2, courses can go ahead – albeit with some adjustments in place. So, if we are at Level 2 you can expect the following: Smaller than usual classes to enable physical distancing Mask use mandatory for moving around the building and optional during class No kitchen facilities on site – please bring your own drink with you One way corridor with the exit being through the passage at the back of the hall We know that these adjustments are not ideal but with them in place we can operate safely in a level 2 environment. Should we be at a different alert level we will of course be in touch again with updated guidelines. The building team have been battling against rising prices and disrupted supply chains but work is coming on apace! We are hopeful that works will be complete before Term 1 2022.
