            Description

If the word maths puts you off, but you enjoy spotting patterns, asking questions, or thinking creatively, this series is for you. Inspired by the work of Eugenia Cheng, these sessions offer a gentle and engaging way to explore big ideas through patterns, logic, and collective curiosity. We’ll draw on ideas from maths and logic to find various strategies and patterns to address questions that can help us make sense of this complex world. You don’t need to be “good at maths”—just open to conversation and exploration. These workshops welcome your questions, experience, and insights. It’s a space to think together, to reconnect with the joy of learning, and to see how mathematical thinking can be helpful and creative. Please also see Elaine’s other course “Games and Chat” in the lifestyle section, which alternates weeks with this one.
