Description

Bring the family along and create ocean themed art together that incorporates materials destined for the recycling bin or landfill.

Learn about the ocean habitat, animals that live there and elements of the ecosystem like coral reefs and seaweed. A fun session where you can enhance your artistic skills in a friendly and creative environment.

Watch Margaret show you how to:

• prepare the recycled materials for use

• make interesting painted papers for use in the project

• paint an ocean background with your own colour choice and theme

• sketch different ocean animals on recycled card and foil

• paint and add texture to the coral, fish and other creatures you select

• collage those together and

• take your artwork home to show your family.

Margaret has over 12 years’ experience teaching art to children of all ages and will offer plenty of guidance throughout the session.

Bring the family along and create ocean themed art together that incorporates materials destined for the recycling bin or landfill. The session is most suited to children between 8 and 12, although the young at heart are also welcome! Kids must be accompanied by an adult care giver. Care givers don’t need their own ticket – unless they want to create their own separate art works of course!
