Prey have evolved a fascinating variety of ways to avoid being eaten. For example, horned-lizards squirt blood out of their eye sockets to frighten predators and a spider makes a model of a big spider in its web to fool predators it’s too big to eat. Join Simon to hear more about staying off the menu. Dr Simon Pollard has a PhD in Zoology and is Adjunct Professor of Science Communication at the University of Canterbury.
