From the idealism and realism of the Renaissance to the new reality and abstraction of the 20th Century. We will explore the 15th and 16th century ideals, inventions and technology that were used by artists like Leonardo to create the Mona Lisa and Durer to make his prints then we will apply the ideas and techniques used by Picasso and Braque to create Cubism leading to Abstraction. An interest in extending your ideas in making your own work would be good but no experience is necessary. Beginners welcome. Please bring an old shirt, a good quality sketch block and pencils (4B or 6B) – all other materials supplied.
