THE ABRAHAMIC RELIGIONS: ALL ROADS LEAD TO GOD, RIGHT?

Starts 31st January, 10am-12pm, 5 Wednesdays, $60

Description

Abraham is one of the most important figures in the Torah / Hebrew Bible, the father of Isaac and Ishmael, patriarchs of the Jewish, Christian  and Arab peoples, respectively.  While there is a divergence of interpretation that traces down to these core religions, the influence spreads beyond them to another half-dozen religions around the middle-eastern world.  In this course we take a theologically-light look at the history, philosophy and teachings of these religions, how they have splintered, fought with themselves and each other, and sometimes reconciled over the years as they progressed into the surrounding continents.
