          Description

Join Megan Blackwood, UC Debating Society President, and Sophia White, WEA Council Member and sustainability advocate, to learn the foundations of critical thinking and structured debate.

Apply these skills in the group, with exercises to debate on selected issues that society is facing today such as democracy, disinformation and the role of AI. The first session will establish the principles and theory of debating.

In the following three sessions we will then put these into practice with debate on issues. Sessions are spaced roughly two weeks apart to ensure enough time for research and debate development. The price includes a light super each night (such as quiche and salads) so please let us know of any dietary requirements by emailing admin@cwea.org.nz
