Learn how to weave a konae (small kete) or kono. These are versatile baskets that are both beautiful and functional. The kōnae is a 2 corner small kete and the kono is a 4 corner container. Once you learn the ‘magic start’ you’ll be wanting to weave these all the time.
Best for those who have made some woven putiputi before.
This will be a fun workshop focused on learning some tikanga (cultural practices), Te Reo (language), weaving skills and getting together to be crafty. Giarne runs classes that are calm, fun and supportive. All tools and harakeke provided, please bring a light lunch with you. Maximum 5 participants.
