HISTORY OF FRANCE: RED, WHITE AND SACRÉ BLEU

Starts 26th April, 12.30-2.30pm

Description

France is one of the few European nations whose borders have stayed similar over thousands of years.

Which part is most ‘French'? Why so much wine, garlic and onions?

How so religious and so secular? Why the emphasis on Equality and Unity?

From the Roman province of Gaul to the Franks, Charlemagne, Romantic Chivalry, Joan of Arc and the French Revolution, we will chart the development of this influential nation. As well as many wars with its' neighbours!
