All are welcome for this fun workshop discovering the world of Origami. You will learn how to make delightful yet easy origami animals and other objects! As much as possible we will use recycled materials and Kazuko will open your eyes to a whole world of folding household rubbish into fantastic creations. Please bring craft scissors if you have some and come prepared to have fun and lots of laughs. Hiroshima and Nagasaki memorial day is held in the first week of August and we will make cranes that can be left at the Peace Bell in the Christchurch Botanical Gardens.
Kazuko is an accomplished Japanese musician and teaches many aspects of Japanese culture. This class is suitable for adults and curious kids from six years and up but younger ones may need active help from a parent or caregiver. Please note all children must be accompanied by an adult.
